| For the young sports fan, Kick Bear provides
an early glimpse at the game of football. This image is
so early, in fact, that the sport was still primarily
a kicking game instead of the passing game it is today.
From 1907, this delightful image was created using the
pointillist technique, a form of neo-impressionism using
equally-sized dots of color, which was made famous by
renowned artist Georges Seurat’s “A Sunday
on La Grande Jatte.” |
